Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a role within the Treating Tobacco Dependency Service. The post involves assessing patients’ needs related to tobacco dependency and identifying tailored treatment and specialist support to help them quit.

Work may be face-to-face, via remote consultation, or by telephone, with travel across Lancashire and South Cumbria to deliver cessation support and training, supporting policy implementation and service development.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required across clinical and non-clinical settings.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Adaptability to a changing service model and travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs related to tobacco dependency and identify appropriate treatment and specialist support to enable a quit attempt.
• Provide support face-to-face, remote consultation, or via telephone according to patient needs.
• Visit sites across Lancashire and South Cumbria to deliver smoking cessation support, training, and help implement the Trust Tobacco Smoke Free Policy.
• Ensure strong communication, teamwork and flexibility to deliver a high-quality service across multiple sites.
