Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Public Health Advisor for the Tobacco Dependency Team to help deliver health improvement work streams and reduce health inequalities across the trust.

The postholder will support the Tobacco Dependency Service, work with inpatient services to provide evidence-based physical health interventions, and ensure pharmacological and behavioural support is accessible to service users.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group physical health interventions, including tobacco dependency support
• Systematically identify the smoking status of all service users
• Offer advice, pharmacotherapy and behavioural support to current service users
• Coordinate workload with the Public Health Team Manager and Senior staff
• Loster with inpatient services to deliver health improvement interventions and ensure safe, well-organised care
• Support continuity of care after discharge with partners and services
