Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Lead Test Solutions Engineer to support the Engineering Management of Test Solutions. You will lead as the engineering point of contact for subcontracting complex Microwave test solutions and manage relationships with suppliers, while ensuring lifecycle design reviews and project budgets are met.

Flexibility in travel within the UK and Europe is expected, with a hybrid working arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Experience designing Test Solutions across full lifecycle.
Experience with external suppliers and outsourcing work packages.
Knowledge of engineering life cycle and business processes.

Responsibilities

Create and capture requirements for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS).
Lead subcontracting of complex test solutions to the supply chain.
Manage relationships with LEUK and 3rd party suppliers.
Ensure implementation of Life-cycle design reviews.
Management of engineering technical quality, schedule, and budget.
Support Make/Buy decisions for suppliers as required.
Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies for test solutions.
Document design rationale when changes are required.
Input to Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards.
Concession management – closing plans and actions.
