Job summary

Pertemps TM in Bristol is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to move into a design manager role on a permanent basis. You will lead and grow the Technical department while remaining hands-on in design, delivering temporary works on complex civil engineering projects.

Key duties include implementing the temporary works management process, providing technical input to tenders, and supporting value engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on temporary works design background with CAD skills.
• Experienced in Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering; lead in design.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and WAHR.
• Attained or working towards CEng status.
• AutoCAD drafting to UK construction design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Technical department while remaining hands-on in design.
• Ensure temporary works management process is implemented, reviewed and updated.
• Provide strong technical support and value engineering for temporary works.
• Support pre-tender activities with technical input for accurate tenders.
• Write processes and checklists to aid in quality control and repeatability.
