Job summary

Capital City College in London is seeking a Lead Technician - Creative Media to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.

This full-time, fixed-term role runs 35 hours per week and ends 30 August 2027. You will lead the planning, implementation and ongoing development of the Creative Media department's technical infrastructure to support outstanding teaching, learning and industry practice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in education or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, AV systems and networking.
• Ability to plan and deliver a strategic technical roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation and development of Creative Media IT, networking and AV systems across the department.
• Provide technical leadership and advise on infrastructure, hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap aligned with industry practice and curriculum needs.
• Maintain secure, reliable, and resilient technical environments with proactive maintenance and asset management.
• Manage suppliers and coordinate external contractors; liaise with academic teams and other stakeholders.
