Job summary

Capital City College is seeking a Lead Technician - Creative Media to oversee the technical infrastructure for IT, networking, digital media and audiovisual systems across the Creative Media department. The role includes leadership of a technicians team and collaboration with curriculum and operations teams to deliver reliable, future-ready technology.

The position is full-time on a fixed-term basis, ending 30 August 2027, with a 35-hour work week and opportunities to contribute to teaching

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead the operation, maintenance and development of IT, networking and AV systems in an education setting.
• Experience providing expert advice on infrastructure, hardware and software in a department.
• Ability to develop a strategic roadmap for technical facilities aligned with curriculum needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, maintenance and development of Creative Media technical facilities.
• Provide professional technical leadership across facilities and manage a team of technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinate with curriculum, operations and support teams to meet educational and commercial needs.
• Manage supplier relationships and external contractors as required.
• Represent the department in technical planning meetings and external engagements.
