Job summary

Reach South Academy Trust seeks an outstanding Humanities & RE Lead Teacher for Gloucestershire Academy for Inspirational Learning. The post is full-time, permanent, at 32.5 hours per week, located at GAIL in Gloucester.

You will drive a coherent Humanities/RE curriculum and lead standards in an MALD specialist setting. The role requires QTS, strong subject knowledge, and leadership experience, with a focus on inclusion, safeguarding and school improvement within a 200-pupil, 4–16 environment

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.
• Strong leadership potential or experience in education.
• Commitment to inclusive education, student wellbeing and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Humanities and Religious Education.
• Set and communicate a clear vision and ethos to raise standards.
• Lead, coach and develop staff through mentoring and performance management.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across subjects and key stages.
