Job summary

Reach South Academy Trust is seeking a passionate Secondary SEND Teacher for GAIL Academy in Gloucester. You will deliver inclusive, personalised learning for pupils with MALD, across a broad curriculum and through Developer, Voyager or Adventurer pathways.

You will collaborate with families, therapists and external professionals to meet EHCP outcomes, create safe, structured classrooms and inspire learners to reach their full potential at a brand‑new school opening in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Be a passionate and reflective teacher with a strong commitment to inclusive education and achieving the very best outcomes for pupils with MALD.
• Have the ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning, communication and sensory needs, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum and make progress.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and create a nurturing, structured environment that promotes independence, confidence, wellbeing and positive behaviour for learning.
• Work collaboratively with families, pupil coaches, therapists and external professionals to deliver personalised provision and support pupils to achieve their EHCP outcomes and individual learning goals
