Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead across a flagship delivery programme for a high‑profile government customer in Farnborough. The role emphasizes hands‑on technical leadership, systems thinking and securing fit‑for‑purpose IT services across multiple teams.

Working with the Chief Engineer and architecture teams, you will guide changes, risks and technical decisions, ensuring designs meet security and operational needs while maintaining programme integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience applying systems engineering across complex, multi‑supplier environments.
• Ability to translate requirements into design, integration and verification artefacts.
• Strong collaboration with architects, engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Apply Systems Engineering principles across the full lifecycle (V‑Model).
• Own and assure engineering artefacts including designs and technical change documentation.
• Lead technical impact assessments and define scope, risks and estimates for changes.
