Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Solihull to lead motor drive systems for hybrid electric propulsion. You will own architecture, requirements, and verification across the development lifecycle, collaborating with customers and partners to deliver robust, traceable designs.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• Extensive experience across systems design, integration and verification.
• Experience with MBSE tools to support the systems engineering lifecycle.
• Experience in aerospace or highly regulated engineering environment.
• Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-160 and DO-254.
• Experience working in a configuration-controlled environment.

Responsabilidades

• Define system architecture in collaboration with customers and partners.
• Establish functional allocation and system interfaces.
• Author the System Development Plan and manage detailed systems engineering activities.
• Provide technical input and support at customer gate reviews.
• Develop the Requirements Management Plan and capture customer requirements.
• Lead requirements validation at system level and support component reviews.
• Maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop system verification plans and define the integration strategy.
• Lead or support system verification and qualification testing.
• Record and trace verification evidence within the requirements database.
