Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and development of motor drive systems for hybrid electric propulsion in Solihull. You will own requirements, verification and the overall system lifecycle, working with customers and partners across the project.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, architecture definition, and ensuring traceability and compliance through evidence across development stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field or equivalent experience.
• Typically at least eight years of relevant experience in systems engineering.
• Extensive experience across systems design, integration and verification.
• Experience with MBSE tools to support the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture in collaboration with customers and partners.
• Lead requirements validation at system level and support reviews.
• Develop system verification plans and integration strategy.
• Lead or support system verification and qualification testing.
• Maintain traceability throughout the lifecycle.
