Job summary

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture SCIO is seeking a Lead Swim Teacher for Dollan Aqua Centre, East Kilbride. The role involves delivering progressive swimming sessions to diverse age groups, ensuring safety and alignment with National Governing Body guidelines.

Candidates must hold SSTQ or SQA Level 7 and will need PVG clearance and induction before paid work. The post offers varied hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a SSTQ or SQA Level 7 qualification.
• PVG Scheme registration and induction prior to paid work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up / take down equipment as required.
• Provide regular communication and feedback with customers/participants and colleagues; supply performance information to management.
• Plan sessions to match group level and activity goals.
• Deliver sessions safely in line with Health and Safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Deliver fun, structured coaching in line with governing body guidelines.
• Assist management with staff development and programme delivery.
