Job summary

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency seeks a Lead Surveyor – Training and Technical Performance to oversee training assurance and performance across UK Technical Maritime Services. You will provide specialist technical advice, lead assurance work and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen training, quality management and operational performance.

Qualifications

Experience leading technical workstreams, assurance activities and audits using data to drive improvements.
Strong governance, quality management and continuous improvement knowledge.
Ability to provide technical leadership and coaching to colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Leading technical performance assurance activity, including monitoring and oversight visits.
Analyzing assurance and training data to identify risks and opportunities.
Supporting development and evaluation of UKTMS training and capability-building initiatives.
Providing technical leadership and guidance for consistent interpretation of maritime standards.
Maintaining quality records and assurance evidence for audits and accreditation.
Preparing technical papers and recommendations for panels and senior leaders.
