Stevenage Borough Council is recruiting a Lead Surveyor - Damp & Mould to head the Damp & Mould service within the Housing Property Services Team in Stevenage. Stevenage Borough Council is committed to providing safe, healthy and high-quality homes for our residents. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Surveyor - Damp & Mould to lead the delivery of our specialist damp, mould and condensation service within our Housing Property Services Team. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing the Council's approach to damp and mould across its housing stock, ensuring residents receive a professional, proactive and customer-focused service. You will lead a team of surveyors, oversee complex cases and provide technical expertise to identify defects, develop practical solutions and ensure works are delivered to a consistently high standard. Working closely with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will manage projects from diagnosis through to completion, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety legislation and best practice standards. You will also play a leading role in complaint resolution, disrepair case management and service improvement initiatives as we continue to strengthen our response to damp and mould in preparation for changing regulatory requirements.
