SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola Group, is recruiting a Principal Engineer to lead substation design across Strategic Projects. You will oversee technical aspects from concept to delivery, coordinating with EPC contractors and OEMs to ensure compliant, safe and innovative designs.

They seek an expert with 10+ years in transmission substation design and a track record of leadership in complex projects.

Competenze

• Degree-level engineering qualification (BSc/BEng) and/or postgraduate (MEng/MSc) or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Experience in engineering/EPC environment supporting large strategic projects.

Mansioni

• Lead the engineering design delivery of 33kV to 400kV substations across Strategic Projects.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight of substation design and outputs.
• Interface with EPC contractors and OEMs to ensure high-quality, standardised deliverables.
• Guide engineering teams through design, construction and operation phases.
• Lead technical assurance of EPC submissions and compliance with standards.
