Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Subsidence Claims Operations Manager to own the performance of our Home Subsidence claims team. The role combines leadership responsibility with hands-on management of setup, assessment, reserving and resolution, ensuring customer outcomes align with regulatory and commercial requirements.

You will translate priorities into actionable plans, collaborate with the Subsidence Technical Controller, and use management information to drive improvements in claim

Qualifications

• Lead Subsidence claims team with clear objectives and performance plans.
• Set up daily/weekly/monthly routines with strong performance reporting.
• Oversee claim set-up, reserving, progression and resolution.
• Analyze MI to identify trends and drive action on lifecycle, capacity and risk.
• Plan resources and development with quarterly training.
• Govern technical referrals within authority and with Subsidence Technical Controller.
• Manage suppliers and stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Ensure quality reviews and anti-fraud controls.
