Job summary

Owen Daniels in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Structures Technical Authority to own structural design, analysis and assurance from concept to manufacture and in-service support. You will lead analysis, substantiation and evaluations, applying expertise in composites and lightweight structures, ensuring fatigue and damage tolerance are met.

The role requires degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering, proven aerospace structural experience, and strong communication to influence

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven structural design and analysis experience within aerospace or regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, lightweight structures and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with structural integrity, fatigue, damage tolerance and load assessments.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software and delivering projects through to verification and release.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, space, UAVs, structural testing or environmental qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of aerospace structures including airframes, wings, tailplanes and mechanical assemblies.
• Deliver structural analysis, substantiation, load assessments and engineering change evaluations.
• Apply expertise in composite materials, lightweight structures and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure structural integrity, fatigue and damage tolerance requirements are met.
• Support structural testing, verification and engineering compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Lead technical reviews and mentoring engineers across the team.
