Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd in Derby seeks a Principal Structural Integrity Engineer to lead integrity assessments for defence and life-extension projects. You will review FE analyses, guide senior engineers, and represent the company in client meetings, ensuring compliance with ASME/BS codes and safety standards.

You will mentor the team, drive technical strategy, and contribute to bids and growth while working in a hybrid model with 1–2 days remote per week. Security clearance beneficial.

Qualifications

• Lead structural integrity with modern techniques and codes.
• Experience with nuclear SSC assessments and safety standards.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to expert for Structural Integrity and review analyses.
• Represent Assystem in client meetings and act as Independent Technical Approver.
• Use FE analysis and hand calcs to prove integrity to international standards.
• Work with safety case authors and cross-functional teams.
• Help drive bids, proposals, and strategic growth.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical direction.
