Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join its team in Billericay. You will lead structural projects, deliver robust designs, and collaborate with architects, surveyors, and M&E engineers to progress schemes from concept to construction.

The role offers mentorship of graduates and a clear path toward Chartership in a collaborative, technically focused environment that values professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering structural engineering design on building projects.
• Ability to undertake complex structural calculations and develop analytical design models.
• Experience managing project deliverables, programmes, and budgets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Experience coordinating with architects, M&E engineers, surveyors, and other members of the design team.
• Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE (or actively working towards) is highly desirable.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through to construction, delivering robust structural designs.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and contribute to team development.
• Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, surveyors and other design professionals.
• Manage project outputs, programmes and budgets, ensuring timely delivery.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to present design concepts.
