Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join the UK team, leading the structural design and coordination on a range of national and international projects. You will mentor engineers, guide BIM modelling activities, and ensure delivery of safe, sustainable structures across sectors such as industrial, education and defence.

Based in the UK, you will work within a multidisciplinary Places Design Practice to shape iconic buildings and facilities, from data centres to manufacturing

Qualifications

• Chartered member of IStructE or ICE.
• Eligible for SC security clearance.
• Strong technical ability in structural principles from diverse projects.
• Familiarity with commonly used structural materials and on-site use.
• Knowledge of structural analysis/design programs.
• Commitment to health and safety and relevant legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Attention to detail and quality in reviews.
• Interest in sustainable solutions.
• Ability to manage teams and mentor colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and coordination of structures across projects in various sectors.
• Manage technical and commercial aspects, leading teams of structural engineers and BIM modellers.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Contribute to the technical quality process and review work across projects.
• Mentor engineers and colleagues within projects and wider teams.
