Job summary

BRE in Watford is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership for the Structural team, delivering high-quality engineering, testing and assurance services that support business growth and industry impact.

You will oversee complex projects, coordinate engineers and technicians, develop test regimes, and contribute to client engagement and proposals while upholding BS and EN standards.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with authority in structural engineering and testing.
• Experience leading complex structural engineering activities and technical services.
• Strong knowledge of BS/EN codes and their application to design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a complex structural engineering function delivering services per objectives.
• Oversee delivery of projects ensuring technical quality and compliance with BS/EN standards.
• Develop and interpret test regimes for static and dynamic behaviour; manage lab activities.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians and laboratory staff for efficient project delivery.
• Provide technical input to business development, client engagement and proposals.
