Job summary

Strata Consulting in Billericay is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. You will lead structural design on residential-led schemes from concept through construction, coordinating with architects, M&E engineers and surveyors.

You will mentor graduate engineers, contribute to planning and client engagement, and help drive projects to successful completion while maintaining technical excellence and compliance with design standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering structural engineering design on building projects.
• Ability to undertake complex structural calculations and develop analytical design models.
• Experience managing project deliverables, programmes, and budgets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Experience coordinating with architects, M&E engineers, surveyors, and other members of the design team.
• Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE (or actively working towards) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering design and project delivery from concept to construction.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and contribute to team development.
• Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
