Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation in Stevenage is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer subcontractor for an initial 12-month contract, onsite 4 days per week. You will lead structural analysis of cutting-edge military systems, using hand calculations and FE methods.

Candidates with FE/FEA background, Altair, NASTRAN, and ANSYS experience are encouraged. The role is Inside IR35 (Umbrella) with a one-stage video interview.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM subject.
• Proven ability to carry out structural analysis using hand calculations and FE methods.
• Experience with Altair FE toolset or other FE codes (NASTRAN/ANSYS).
• Experience in static, dynamic, fatigue analysis and crash analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet key structural requirements.
• Play a critical role in delivering performance against structural requirements.
• Work within a team of engineers on cutting-edge military systems.
