Job summary

HYTE is recruiting a permanent Structural Analyst to support a confidential UK defence programme. The role requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) and involves applying first principles to structural problems, using FEA and engineering judgement to influence design decisions.

The successful candidate will undertake structural analysis across complex defence projects, develop and interrogate FEMs, and validate results with engineering fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
• Experience in structural analysis, stress analysis or FEA.
• Experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret results and translate into engineering recommendations.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, marine or regulated engineering environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural analysis and FEA across defence programmes.
• Develop, build and interrogate finite element models.
• Validate FEA results with hand calculations and fundamentals.
• Produce technical documentation, calculations and analysis reports.
• Influence design decisions through engineering judgement and clear communication.
