Job summary
Balfour Beatty is currently recruiting a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join the Power T&D team in Derby. The main function is to deliver design calculations, drawings and documents that enable a safe and constructable engineered solution.
The position reports to the Design Delivery Manager – Structures. You will lead complex projects, analyse contract documents, and ensure delivery within scope, budget and programme while maintaining safety and best practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineer for complex projects.
- Analyse contract documents to determine scope and design parameters.
- Ensure delivery of designs and calculations per contract and best practice.
- Review designs and calculations for manufacturability and safety.
- Produce designs and calculations for review and construction safety.
- Support in complex design issue resolution and training.
