Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power T&D in Aberdeen is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery and stakeholder engagement on major design and build projects. You will work with project managers to ensure D&E scope is delivered on time, within budget and to safety and quality standards.

You will lead design engineers, manage interfaces with other parties and ensure adherence to governance processes, change management, and value engineering across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working towards Incorporated membership of ICE, IMechE or IET.
• Experience leading engineering teams on design and build construction or installation projects.
• Familiarity with the Power Industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of the Design & Engineering scope of works to programme, budget, quality and safety.
• Deliver the D&E scope of works following governance processes and lifecycle gates.
• Identify and manage D&E project risks and implement mitigations.
• Lead the Design Engineers and interfaces with other parties through effective communication.
• Ensure adherence to governance processes, gated lifecycle and Right First Time.
