Job summary

Prismatic Ltd. in Alton, Hampshire, seeks an experienced Structures Technical Authority to oversee the structural development for a high‑altitude aerospace programme. You will lead mechanical structure design, verification, and supplier engagement to deliver lightweight, robust hardware for stratospheric platforms.

Reporting to the Structures Team Lead, this senior individual contributor role emphasizes governance, design assurance and mentoring, with hybrid working and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven aerospace structural design and analysis experience.
• Experience with structural integrity, fatigue and damage tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the recognised structural engineering Technical Authority.
• Lead the development and release of mechanical structural hardware (airframes, flight controls, gear).
• Coordinate interfaces across disciplines to ensure end-to-end integration.
• Coach and mentor engineers to enhance team capability.
• Ensure safety, compliance and design traceability throughout the lifecycle.
