Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is seeking a Principal Stress Engineer in Leighton Buzzard to lead a global, multi-disciplinary team in developing aircraft interior products and galley upgrades. The role owns structural substantiation and stress analysis, ensuring certification across programs and regulatory alignment.

Candidates should have engineering/stress experience, FEM and structural analysis expertise, and a proven leadership track.

Qualifications

Engineering or stress experience is essential.
STEM degree is highly desirable.
FEM for static analysis of metallic and composite materials.
Structural analysis expertise in classical methods.
M1020 Check and Approval signatories desirable.
Experience within aircraft interiors certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead a global multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop aircraft interior products and ensure delivery of work packages.
Own the engineering stress responsibility for galley upgrade projects and related configurations.
Lead design reviews, investigations, and risk assessments to support program execution.
Perform and approve structural substantiation and stress analyses per airworthiness rules.
Develop substantiation reports and certification documentation for interior products.
