Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Whole-Time Consultant Spinal Surgeon for the Northern General Hospital, with potential offsite work in the future. The appointee will join consultant colleagues to provide elective and emergency spinal surgery services and may hold an Honorary Consultant position at Sheffield Children's Hospital for paediatric cases as required.

Qualifications

• FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent required.
• GMC registration or eligibility with license to practice required.
• Experience in spinal surgery and ability to work as an independent practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Provide elective and emergency spinal surgery services at the Northern General Hospital site.
• Hold an Honorary Consultant position at Sheffield Children's Hospital for paediatric spinal cases as needed.
• Operate under the national consultant contract terms.
