Job summary

One Health is seeking a Consultant Spinal Surgeon to join the One Health Elective Surgery Hub North Lincolnshire. The role involves delivering comprehensive spinal surgical services for NHS patients, with outpatient assessment, diagnosis and management of spinal conditions, and elective surgeries.

The post holder will work Monday to Friday in a state-of-the-art elective hub, with an emphasis on clinical excellence, governance and service development within a growing private NHS partner.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and Specialist Register status in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
• 12 months+ experience as a substantive or locum NHS Consultant.
• Proven experience in spinal surgery within NHS and/or independent practice.
• Excellent clinical, communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient assessment, diagnosis and management of spinal conditions.
• Undertake elective spinal surgical procedures in line with national standards and pathways.
• Provide pre- and post-operative follow-up care.
• Collaborate with anaesthetic, nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Support development and expansion of spinal surgery services within One Health.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Produce high-quality clinic letters, operative notes and patient reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions.
• Ensure GMC standards, governance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Contribute to audits, quality improvement and service evaluation.
