Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Gravesend is seeking a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to provide clinical leadership within a community team at Gravesham Community Hospital. You will co-lead with an experienced Band 7, delivering assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based interventions for adults with communication and swallowing disorders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Significant post graduate experience with adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Experience using a wide range of assessments and therapeutic interventions.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in a Band 6/7 role within a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the day-to-day delivery of the community SLT service across North Kent.
• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing needs.
• Support junior colleagues and students to develop skills and confidence.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care and timely support.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to professional standards.
