Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Royal Preston Hospital is seeking a Specialist Radiographer to support a 24/7 Main X-Ray service. The role involves night, weekend and day shifts, with responsibility for planning and allocating work to ensure timely service delivery in a busy department.

You will monitor standards, supervise junior staff, provide leadership and act as a patient advocate while delivering high-quality radiographic examinations across a range of settings

Qualifications

• BSc/ DCR in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registered and CPD evidenced.
• Leadership experience within an NHS radiology setting is essential.
• Experience with PACS and NHS IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure smooth running of the department during shifts.
• Lead the team and maintain professional practice standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to the team and act as patient advocate.
• Manage workload and contribute to service improvements.
• Comply with IRMER and IRR, ensuring 24/7 service coverage.
