Job summary

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, invites a Project Engineer to join a lithium-ion space-space mission focused team based at Culham Science Centre near Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will lead technical assessments, analysis and documentation, coordinating with junior engineers to deliver on-time, high-quality results for international space missions.

You will act as the primary technical representative to customers, contributing to design solutions, test campaigns, and compliance

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM subject, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as an engineer in a customer facing role.
• Good IT skills for data analysis, modelling, results presentation and reporting.
• Experience with test and verification activities.
• Experience in report writing.
• Experience working with space industry primes, agencies and end users.
• Knowledge and understanding of ECSS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed project design solution under guidance from Senior/Principal engineers.
• Provide technical assessment, analysis, data review and technical documentation for the project.
• Work with multi-disciplinary team to ensure on-time, on-quality delivery to the customer.
• Act as primary technical representative to the customer for the project.
• Produce project documentation such as analysis reports and test plans.
• Support technical checks during battery test campaigns and external site testing.
