Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join a leading Lithium-ion space business that designs, manufactures, and qualifies batteries for international space missions. You will perform mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and harness fabrication for flight hardware in a cleanroom environment, following ECSS documentation and strict QA processes.

Qualifications

• ECSS-Q-ST-70-61 Manual soldering of high reliability electrical connections and inspection.
• ECSS-Q-ST-70-26 Crimping of high-reliability electrical connections with hands-on engineering experience.
• Two to five years of relevant assembly experience, ideally in Aerospace manufacturing or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment for assembly tasks.
• Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, and soldering of live flight hardware per ECSS certification.
• Manufacture and inspect harnesses for flight hardware and test equipment.
• Complete battery build, test harness, and breakout box build and inspection.
• Conduct limited battery testing following training.
