Job summary

JW Lees is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence and assist with menu development and stock management. You will maintain a safe, compliant kitchen and guide junior staff while upholding high standards to achieve scoring excellence.

You will train and develop the team, ensuring consistent, high-quality food presentation and strong motivation during service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef in a hospitality kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
• Support with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen.
• Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure high standards and attention to detail to achieve 5* Scores on the doors.
• Motivate the team to present fresh, quality food on every service.
• Play an integral role in training and developing junior team members.
