Job summary

Benugo in London is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the Barbican Kitchen team. You will report to the Head Chef and deputise in their absence, helping develop new menu ideas and ensure top food quality.

This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary and shifts 5 days out of 7. You will lead and motivate the kitchen team, manage stock, and uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchens.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Head Chef and deputise in their absence.
• Develop new menu ideas and improve offerings with the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef.
• Ensure food quality remains at the highest standard at all times.
• Motivate and lead the kitchen team to maintain top performance.
• Oversee stock levels and make key stock-control decisions with the Head Chef.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and health and safety procedures.
