Job summary

Bistrot Pierre in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sous Chef to lead with the Head Chef, delivering French-inspired cuisine to spec while developing the kitchen team. You will balance hands-on cooking with leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth services and consistent plate quality.

You will manage stock, orders, invoices and food profitability, coach junior chefs, and uphold hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Strong knowledge of classical cooking techniques.
• Ability to lead sections during busy services.
• Calm, organised approach under pressure.
• Maintain food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dishes cooked and presented to specification.
• Support the daily operation of the kitchen.
• Manage stock, orders, invoices and food profit.
• Coach and develop junior chefs.
