Job summary

Great British Energy – Nuclear is seeking a Solution Architect to shape the organisation's information systems for a fast-paced UK SMR project. You will translate business needs into justified, pragmatic designs aligned with TOGAF principles, working with project teams and stakeholders.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, data and integration architects to ensure cohesive end-to-end designs, supporting option appraisal and business case development in a first-of-a-kind program

Qualifications

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
• Ability to work across cross-disciplinary teams and align technical solutions with strategy.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Outstanding communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• TOGAF knowledge or certification and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience on complex major projects in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to innovation forums, assessing initial business requirements for improvement.
• Analyse business requirements and provide feasibility feedback to stakeholders.
• Lead solution optioneering and support business case development.
• Prepare the logical design and narrative behind an implementable information system.
• Maintain enterprise architecture models and solution designs.
• Collaborate with architects across domains to ensure end-to-end coherence.
• Act as solution design authority during delivery and ensure standards alignment.
• Prepare 'as-realised' updated enterprise architectures post-implementation.
