Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact for one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading the design process, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, primarily using AutoCAD software.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV system performance to optimize energy production and efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs, and recommending technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Strong engineering and design skills with a proven track record across various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
• Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects such as wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint systems.
• Proficiency with standard and advanced PC software tools (MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, etc.) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Good knowledge of relevant HSSE legislation concerning construction and services installation.
• Formal training and understanding of CDM responsibilities.
