Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a huge difference to one of the world’s foremost energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include

Taking the lead on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.

Performing computer simulation of solar PV system performance or energy production to optimise efficiency.

Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality or performance.in.

What we need from you

Must have 7 - 10 years exp Solar PV design

Engineering / design skills and experience with a proven track record on a variety of PV schemes; both rooftop and ground mount.

Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.

Detailed design experience in small wiring, containment, as built drawings, scaffolding and fall arrest / work restraint.

Working knowledge of standard and more advanced PC software tools (such as MS Office suite, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, modelling software, etc.) with the ability and willingness to learn new software tools.

Substantial knowledge of current relevant legislation with regards to HSSE, construction and services installation.

Thorough understanding, detailed experience and formal training in CDM responsibilities.

Experience in DNO G99 Applications.

Full UK/EU driving licence.
