Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career and contribute significantly to one of the world's leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading on solar PV system designs, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV system performance and energy production to optimize efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs, and recommending technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering and design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
• Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects such as wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint systems.
• Proficiency with standard and advanced PC software tools (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, modelling software), with a willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of current legislation related to HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and thorough understanding of CDM responsibilities.
• Experience with DNO G99 Applications.
• Full UK/EU driving license.
