- Experience leading software engineering teams or practices.

- Experience building high-performing engineering teams and talent development.
- Knowledge of cloud-native delivery, DevOps and governance.
- Experience in agile, product-centric environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Software Engineering Practice across Anglian Water.
- Build an engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration and value.
- Define and evolve engineering standards, guardrails and best practices.
- Partner with Product, Architecture and Cyber to align with strategic outcomes.
- Provide leadership and line management for senior software engineers.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment and succession planning.
- Champion modern engineering practices including DevOps and CI/CD.
- Drive engineering maturity with metrics and performance insights.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve software delivery.
- Act as a senior technical leader influencing investment and direction.
