Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Gloucester to architect and drive secure software solutions across Defence, Cyber and Intelligence domains. You will own technical direction, mentor teams, and deliver scalable, high-quality systems.

You’ll collaborate with product owners and customers, set vision, and ensure best practices for security, maintainability, and performance while guiding across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical strategy and guide system design.
• Act as technical liaison among engineering, product, operations and customers.
• Oversee design, build, test, debug, and documentation of reliable, scalable code.
• Coach junior and mid-level engineers to raise team skills.
