Job summary

Ria Money Transfer in Bracknell, United Kingdom, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our Digital Payments team to lead a team building and scaling money transfer systems. You will own key integrations with payment vendors globally, and drive end-to-end delivery from design to deployment.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and external partners, translate business requirements into technical specs, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable REST APIs and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience as a .Net Developer or equivalent OOP language.
• 3+ years leading teams delivering complex initiatives and core projects.
• Proficiency with .Net Core, C#, Python, Java, SQL Server, and Git/Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, relational databases and SDLC.
• Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and optimization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently or with a team.
• Self-motivated, team player, with effective communication.
• Willingness to prepare technical documentation for the development team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the delivery of key initiatives, while guiding the team on best engineering practices.
• Develop & support .Net Core & .Net Framework REST APIs & Microservices.
• Write clean & scalable code using standard software design patterns & best practices.
• Mentor and develop your team, promoting continuous improvement and quality delivery.
• Design & integrate third-party services into our application to support business needs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams & developers to meet project deadlines.
• Analyze opportunities for improvements in our application & process flow.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications & a plan for delivery.
