Job summary

Royal London is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to head the Identity and Access Management delivery team in our Digital space. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focusing on Azure-based C#/.NET services, secure design and resilient operations.

You will lead by example, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, architecture, cloud and mobile teams to deliver high-value digital services for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building and maintaining modern web applications in Angular or C#/.NET.
• Experience delivering IAM solutions or related security-focused domains.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and token-based integration patterns.
• Extensive practical experience in Azure-based application development and cloud-first design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex systems ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are met.
• Build, test and operate Angular front-end and C#/.NET back-end services deployed in Azure.
• Carry out technical design and impact assessments for changes to applications.
• Ensure designs and documentation meet required standards ahead of delivery.
