Job summary

LCP, a leading analytics and actuarial consultancy, invites a Lead Development Engineer to join its Digital Services team in London. You will work as a hands-on technical partner to delivery teams, shaping architecture and implementing complex, high-impact features across multiple codebases.

You will mentor developers, promote best practices, and contribute to central products and services. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Platform teams to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable

Qualifications

• Experience delivering scalable .NET applications in Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and ASP.NET WebAPI design.
• Proficient with both relational (Azure SQL) and non-relational databases (CosmosDB).
• Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to articulate complex tech concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product delivery teams to define architecture and provide implementation support.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate solutions into reusable components and services.
• Advance SDLC practices for AI-enabled development while preserving quality.
• Champion testing, CI/CD, coding standards, observability and debt management.
• Contribute to design and development of shared packages and services.
• Work with Platform and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure, compliant production readiness.
• Mentor developers and share knowledge across teams.
• Translate business needs into practical technical options and trade-offs for Product Owners.
• Build strong relationships with product teams and represent their needs in quarterly planning.
