Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in London seeks a Lead Software Engineer to deliver a cloud-based, high-performance payments platform. You will lead end-to-end development of new payment flows, from business requirements to production support, in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive secure coding practices, and advance AI-assisted development to improve quality, speed, and resilience across the Payments team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on coding experience with a track record of success.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Experience coaching engineers on safe AI adoption.
• Practical experience in system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages, ideally Java.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile practices.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and financial services IT.

Responsibilities
