Qualifications

• We seek a strong software engineer with a proven track record shipping production systems.
• Experience leading technical work in a small team while remaining hands-on.
• Full-stack experience across backend, frontend, and cloud in multiple languages/frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, cloud infrastructure, and production support.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers and strong interpersonal skills.
• Interest in using AI-assisted engineering tools and forming a view on their use.
• Experience with production systems in regulated/operationally complex environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate production software in a hands-on capacity.
• Lead squad delivery by breaking down work, aligning the team, and maintaining momentum.
• Make squad-level technical decisions balancing speed, quality, maintainability, and sustainability.
• Set and uphold engineering standards through design, code review, testing discipline, and ownership.
• Strengthen engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, observability, and reliable production operations.
• Encourage continuous improvement, learning, and technical curiosity.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the squad's workflow.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
• Coach and support a small squad of 1–4 engineers with Engineering Manager and Product Owner.
