Job summary

Coffey is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead site teams across a water infrastructure and civil engineering project in the UK. You will supervise site resources, coordinate sub-contractors, and ensure works are carried out safely, on time, and to high quality standards.

You will perform site inspections, manage materials, assist with RAMS, toolbox talks, and maintain proper documentation. A CSCS card, strong leadership, and good knowledge of building codes are essential to drive

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required and must be valid.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in handling, operating and maintaining construction equipment and tools.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate site resources, including sub-contractors, to meet safety, quality, and budget targets.
• Perform site inspections and supervise lookahead planning and progress tracking.
• Prepare RAMS with Site Agent/Project Manager and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and maintain HSQE records and site paperwork.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and programmes; identify and rectify variances or delays.
• Mentor potential candidates for future roles and liaise with stakeholders.
