Job summary

Trant Engineering, a leading EPC contractor, is seeking a Section Manager for our Fawley Refinery delivery team in Southampton. You will oversee site activities to be safe, on programme, within budget and to SHEQ standards, coordinating construction, engineering and commissioning interfaces.

The role requires managing site personnel and subcontractors, driving productivity, and maintaining quality records, with strong client liaison and reporting duties.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or equivalent site management health and safety certification.
• Proven experience as Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager delivering projects in the Oil & Gas, water and/or energy sectors.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Experience overseeing site delivery on programme, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Demonstrable experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site teams, including subcontractors and operatives.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of construction and installation works.
• Manage site resources, plant, and materials effectively.
• Maintain quality standards, inspections, and defect management.
• Provide regular site progress reports, including programme updates and resource usage.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and internal teams to ensure progress and handover.
